1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the 100xEngineers Gen AI Buildathon 2.0 ("Buildathon"). By registering for the Buildathon, you ("Participant") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your registration.
This Buildathon features problem statements created by our partner companies. By participating, you acknowledge that should your solution be selected as a winner, you will be required to provide the complete solution to the respective partner company as outlined in these terms.

Discord Onboarding: May 28, 2025
Preliminaries (Online): May 30 - June 2, 2025
Qualifiers Announcement: June 5, 2025
Semi-Finals (Offline): June 21, 2025
Finals (Offline): June 22, 2025
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1. Participants may register individually or as a team of up to 4 members.
2.2. Employees of 100xEngineers and immediate family members of the organizers may not participate in the Buildathon.
2.3. Participants must have the necessary legal right to participate in the Buildathon and accept these Terms & Conditions.
2.4. Each participant can only work on one company's problem statement.
3. REGISTRATION
3.1. Registration must be completed through the official registration link by May 26, 2025.
3.2. All information provided during registration must be accurate and complete.
3.3. 100xEngineers reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Participants.
3.4. Registration is subject to confirmation by 100xEngineers and may be rejected without providing reasons.
3.5. By registering, Participants agree to join the official Buildathon Discord server for communications.
4. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY
4.1. Types of Personal Data Collected:
Contact information (name, email, phone number)
Professional information (resume/CV, skills, experience)
Demographic information (age, location)
Communications within Discord channels
Solution submissions and associated data
Images and recordings from in-person events
4.2. Purpose of Data Collection:
Administering the Buildathon
Evaluating submissions
Facilitating communication between Participants and partners
Sharing qualified Participant profiles with hiring partners
Promoting future events (with consent)
4.3. Data Sharing:
Personal data may be shared with problem statement partners for evaluation and hiring purposes
Anonymized data may be used for analytics and reporting
Public recognition of winners will include names and submission details
4.4. Data Security:
100xEngineers implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data
Third-party services used for processing data are subject to appropriate data protection agreements
4.5. Data Retention:
Participants may request deletion of their data by contacting privacy@100xengineers.com, subject to legal retention requirements
4.6. Participant Rights:
Access to personal data
Correction of inaccurate data
Deletion of data (where legally permissible)
Objection to processing
Data portability
Withdrawal of consent
4.7. International Transfers:
Personal data may be transferred internationally to facilitate the Buildathon
Such transfers will be subject to appropriate safeguards
5. BUILDATHON STRUCTURE
5.1. The Buildathon consists of three stages: Preliminaries, Semi-Finals, and Finals.
5.2. Preliminaries will be conducted online. Qualified Participants must attend Semi-Finals and Finals in person in Bangalore, India.
5.3. Travel and accommodation expenses for attending the in-person events are the responsibility of the Participants.
5.4. Problem statements will be provided by partner companies and will be categorized as one of: AI Agents, LLM Applications, or AI Filmmaking.
6. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
6.1. All submissions must be:
Original work created during the Buildathon period
Fully functioning as per the problem statement requirements
Compliant with all technical requirements specified in the problem statement
6.2. Submissions must include:
Source code
Documentation
Demonstration video (if required)
Any other deliverables specified in the problem statement
6.3. Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use all components of their submission, including third-party libraries, APIs, or content.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
7.1. Participants retain ownership of intellectual property (IP) rights to their submissions, subject to the following conditions:
7.2. Participants grant 100xEngineers and problem statement partners a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to evaluate, review, and publicly showcase their submissions.
7.3. Buildathon winners must provide their complete solution to the respective problem statement partners who created the challenge. This includes all source code, documentation, and implementation details.
7.4. Winners grant the problem statement partners a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and implement the winning solutions for their business purposes.
7.5. Participants must not include any confidential information or pre-existing proprietary technology in their submissions without proper authorization.
7.6. Participants are responsible for ensuring their submissions do not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights.
8. EVALUATION & PRIZES
8.1. Specific evaluation criteria for each problem statement will be provided by the partners.
8.2. Bounty prizes will be awarded to top solution(s) as determined by partner evaluation.
8.3. All bounties will be awarded if the solution meets the evaluation criteria mentioned beforehand.
8.4. Winners are responsible for any taxes or duties associated with receiving prizes.
9. SOLUTION HANDOVER
9.1. Winners are required to provide a complete handover of their solution to the respective problem statement partner, including:
All source code with documentation
Deployment instructions
User guides (if applicable)
Access to any repositories, resources, or tools used
9.2. Winners must provide reasonable support for knowledge transfer to the problem statement partner for a period of up to two weeks following the announcement of results.
9.3. Winners must maintain confidentiality regarding any sensitive information provided by problem statement partners during the Buildathon.
10. CODE OF CONDUCT
10.1. Participants must:
Treat all other Participants, organizers, and partners with respect
Comply with all instructions from organizers
Adhere to the Discord community guidelines
Maintain confidentiality of problem statement details when required
10.2. Prohibited conduct includes:
Harassment or discrimination of any kind
Cheating or plagiarism
Disruption of the Buildathon activities
Violation of any applicable laws
10.3. 100xEngineers reserves the right to disqualify Participants who violate the code of conduct.
11. MEDIA RELEASE
11.1. By participating in the Buildathon, Participants grant 100xEngineers and its partners permission to:
Photograph and record their participation
Use their name, likeness, and submission details in promotional materials
Publish winning submissions on websites and social media
11.2. Participants may opt out of specific promotional uses by notifying 100xEngineers in writing.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
12.1. 100xEngineers and its partners are not liable for:
Technical failures or connectivity issues affecting participation
Any injury or damage resulting from participation
Loss or damage to submissions
Actions of other Participants
12.2. The liability of 100xEngineers for any claims arising from the Buildathon shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. MODIFICATIONS & CANCELLATION
13.1. 100xEngineers reserves the right to:
Modify these Terms & Conditions
Change the Buildathon schedule
Modify problem statements (with partner approval)
Cancel or suspend the Buildathon due to unforeseen circumstances
13.2. Participants will be notified of any significant changes via email and Discord announcements.
14. GOVERNING LAW
14.1. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
14.2. Any disputes arising from the Buildathon shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, India.
